lyrics

It was dark,
But not the light

It wasn’t fair,
But it was a fight

Minutes that shook the ground with fear
9 minutes, plus 29 seconds, to be clear

Pavement forever remembering

‘HE WAS HERE’!

Time buckled and shook

Watching

Tears dropping from our eyes
No static noise could disguise

No chance to lend a helping hand ...

There was only hate above him

Watched like it was forever …
And, it is

Last breath delivered in pain and defeat
But never fading away

It is there in EVERY voice that struggles to be heard

In every push/pull, sideways glance, undeserved apology, hopeful plea, low blow, and high hope

It will guide, or choke
Today’s outcome

And decide tomorrow’s choice
